Marcel Proust 150th Birthday Celebration

Join us on the Library Lawn on Saturday July 10 from 2-4pm to celebrate the 150th birthday of the enigmatic yet brilliant French author Marcel Proust. Born in 1871, Proust is best known for his largely autobiographical novel In Search of Lost Time, published in seven volumes between 1913 and 1927. Local Proust enthusiast Derek McCormack will lead an informal reading of some of Proust’s most moving and lyrical passages which illustrate the author’s terrific grasp of language and deeply profound worldview. All are welcome!
